Scott Lawson is an experienced criminal defense investigator and digital forensic analyst with a comprehensive background in legal investigation, digital evidence analysis, and trial support. With over two decades of law enforcement and investigative experience, Scott specializes in assisting attorneys with complex criminal defense cases through detailed case analysis, electronic evidence review, and forensic examination and analysis of digital devices.

His digital forensics expertise covers mobile devices, computers, call detail records, and forensic video analysis. Scott also provides trial preparation, including demonstrative exhibit and timeline creation and in-court presentation support for the firm.
He has actively provided legal, investigative and digital forensics support significant criminal defense cases at federal and state levels, offering detailed investigative support in matters involving drug trafficking, post-conviction review, identity theft, murder, arson, and sex crimes. He regularly attends advanced professional development and legal conferences such as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Sex Crimes Conference and the National Defender Investigator Association Conference.
He maintains associate memberships with the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and is a member of the National Defender Investigator Association. His law enforcement training includes the Clandestine Laboratory Investigations, Gang Homicide Investigations, Roadside Drug Interdiction, Crime Scene Investigation, Auto Theft Investigations, Sex Crime Investigations, and Domestic Terrorism.
He has a strong background teaching advanced investigative techniques, search warrants, use of force, gang investigations, and legal procedures to law enforcement officers at the federal, state and local level across the country.
